MARO, born Mariana Brito da Cruz Forjaz Secca on October 30, 1994 in Lisbon, is a Portuguese indie-pop singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. She rose to fame with “Saudade, saudade,” winning Festival da Canção 2022 and placing 9th at Eurovision. Latest album: “So Much Has Changed” (2026). Known for collaborating with Jacob Collier, Odesza, Eric Clapton. She’s won the NIT Award for Best Original Song and Portugal’s José Afonso Album of the Year.
